History

The establishment was founded in 1961 by Guido Battista who arrived in the UK in the early 1950's from Italy.

It was here in Middlesbrough he opened his first salon in Russell Street called "Italian Hairdressers" the first of its kind in the town!

Eventually when other hair salons opened with the same Italian theme, he changed the name to Guido's Hair Fashions.

After a dozen successful years Guido decided to move to Princess Road, it was here the business grew and eventually when unisex in 1973, and 10 years later the ladies branch was set up whom Guido’s wife Patricia became involved in the running of.

Guido's continues to flourish and is a family run business whom Guido's son and daughter Mauro & Nicola Battista are now at the forefront. In following their father's footsteps they continue to develop and improve the business.

One of the most exciting developments is the expansion of the Ladies Salon which has doubled in size and now boasts a brand new stylish fully air conditioned beauty salon.
