Guidos is probably one of the most well known hairdressers in the area of Middlesbrough. The establishment was founded in 1961 after the shops owner Guido Battista arrived in the UK from native Italy.

After working in Swansea, Guido decided to relocate to Middlesbrough, it was here he opened a salon in Russell Street called 'Italian Hairdressers' - the first of its kind in the town.

Eventually when other hair salons opened with the same Italian theme, he changed the name to Guido's Hairfashions.
